"How much does it cost?" is the most frequently asked question, and the honest answer is: it depends. In this guide we explain exactly what determines the price of marble polishing in Yerevan, so you can make an informed decision and avoid unpleasant surprises.

Factor 1: Surface area

Polishing is priced per square metre, and the larger the area, the lower the price per metre: setting up and transporting the equipment is a fixed cost spread across the whole job. A 20 m² hallway costs more per metre than a 100 m² hall.

Factor 2: Condition of the stone

This is the most important factor. A slightly dulled floor only needs 2-3 polishing passes. A floor with deep scratches, acid etching or uneven tiles needs full restoration: 5-7 grinding stages from coarse discs through to polishing. The price difference can be double or more. To assess your own floor, read our article on the signs.

Factor 3: Type of stone

Marble is the easiest to polish. Granite is 2-3 times harder, needs different discs and more time, so granite polishing costs more. Filling the pores of travertine adds material and labour cost. Basalt is close to granite.

Factor 4: Desired finish

A high mirror gloss needs the most stages. A satin or honed (matte) finish is somewhat faster to achieve. Sealing — the protective treatment — is a separate service we always recommend adding: it extends the life of the result by years.

What makes up the price

ComponentDescription
PreparationMoving furniture, protective covering, cleaning
Grinding2-7 stages depending on condition
PolishingUp to the chosen gloss level
SealingProtection against stains and moisture (recommended)

How to get an exact price

There are two ways. 1) Send photos of the floor and the approximate area via WhatsApp — we give a preliminary estimate the same day. 2) Book a free inspection: a specialist visits, checks the condition of the stone and gives a final, fixed price — with no hidden costs. The inspection puts you under no obligation.

A money-saving tip

Don't wait until the floor is completely damaged: removing light dullness is far cheaper than deep restoration. And regular maintenance after polishing postpones the next polish by years. Also see the full description of our polishing service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don’t you list fixed prices on the website?+

Because an honest price depends on the actual condition of your floor. A promise of "X per metre" often ends in hidden surcharges. We give a fixed price after inspection — and it doesn’t change.

Is the inspection really free?+

Yes, in Yerevan and nearby cities the inspection is completely free and puts you under no obligation.

Which is cheaper — polishing or a new floor?+

Polishing is almost always 3-5 times cheaper than replacing the stone, with an equally beautiful result. Replacement is only justified for very severe structural damage.

Can I pay in instalments?+

For large projects we discuss a convenient payment schedule. Contact us and we will find a solution.
